It’s OK If You Think and Learn Differently

With the advent of social media, many people, including celebrities, have given voice to the fact that they don’t learn or think the way that others do. This openness has helped to remove some of the past stigmas attached to learning differences such as ADHD, dyslexia and others. What’s important to understand is that there are ways you can adapt and gain the confidence you or your child needs for future success. By utilizing the many resources that now exist, you can gain a better understanding by taking advantage of what they have to offer.

Counseling Services

I work with both children and adults who are experiencing difficulty and can help to diagnose and offer a plan to better move forward when warranted. As a highly experienced and skilled clinician, I provide my patients with the highest quality services to create a personalized programmatic intervention designed to work with each person’s strengths. My office is located in Great Neck, NY, but I also offer teletherapy.

Online Resources
It’s always helpful to get educated about your learning difference and online resources can offer some unique insight as well as provide the collective relief that you are not alone. My website offers a host of different links tied to organizations, interpretations and best practices for ADD, ADHD and even behavioral disorders. Besides the information I provide, Understood.org is a leading nonprofit focused on supporting the many people with learning and thinking differences. They offer videos, newsletters, podcasts and more that help people navigate the unique journey they are on.

The message I give my patients is that it is certainly ok to think and learn differently. Contact my office today to make an appointment so together we can explore how to empower you to live your best life, now and into the future.
